Bottled water

Are you prepared to run your Ferrari on standard unleaded?

After you spend $5,000.00 and upwards for your bike. $500.00 or more for a wetsuit. $650.00 to enter the race. $1000.00 for accomodation. $300.00 for fuel to get there. $50.00 per week for supplements.

Are you going to risk drinking the local water in your last few days?

Not all bottled water is the same. A bit like the Castrol advert. Some are just like local tap water that’s been bottled.

Mt Franklin, Peat’s Ridge and the “best buy Pure Spring Water” from Foodworks all test well. I’m sure there are some others which will test well. Get your Naturopath or Kiniesologist to test the one you’d like to use.

If it costs $25.00, and that’s all it’ll cost to drink pure, filtered, spring water for the week leading into your “A” race of the season. I think it’s the biggest bargain you’ll get this year.

You’ll be effectively eliminating one possible chance of something going wrong. If you were a mititary leader, before you went into battle, you’d control all of the controlables before you left camp. You wouldn’t race in a suit you hadn’t worn before. You wouldn’t ride a bike you’d never ridden before. You don’t wear brand new shoes on race day.

There is no good reason to risk a stomach upset in the week prior to your race. Take your Inner Health, drink pure water, cook your own meals with fresh ingredients. Don’t change your diet too much in the last week.

You’ve done the work, let’s just let it happen now.
